She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and demonstrated her deep Christian faith through the way she lived and treated others. She was a faithful member of New Testament Baptist Church until her health declined.
Shirlene worked in various jobs, i.e. retail, photography and education. Her passion however, was working with elementary school children as a teacher’s aide. She loved babies and children.
Shirlene was preceded in eternal rest by her husband of 44 years, Will Edward Nix. She leaves the cherish her legacy of love, daughters, Darlene Clayton
