

Arlene Anderson passed away peacefully while surrounded by her family. Her family meant so much to her. Arlene was born in Los Angeles and graduated from Lynwood High School. In 1957, she married her husband Charles Albert Anderson who preceded her in death after over 50 years of marriage and raising four children. Arlene moved with her family to Orangevale, CA in 1972 to enjoy life in the country. Arlene was a homemaker for many years and also worked as an instructional aid at Green Oaks Elementary School. Arlene worked at Franchise Tax Board for over 21 years and retired to travel and be with her husband. After her husband Chuck passed away, Arlene became active in Widowed Persons Association of Calif. where she met John Weideman, a special person she was able to spend her days with. Arlene enjoyed shopping, traveling, camping (Sugar Pine Point), going to movies, bowling, eating out and watching her kids/grandkids activities.
Arlene is survived by her children Greg and wife Cherisa, Eileen Dayton and husband Michael, and Randy and wife Kelly, and Charles Jr. and wife Terry. Survived also by grandchildren: Julie, Jeff, Greg, Melanie, Amy, Ashley, Sarah, Eric, Ryan, Brieanna, Hunter and great grandchildren: Khristina, Carson, Nicholas, Ciaran, Joshua, Savannah, and Sean. Arlene is also survived by her brothers: Dennis, Lester, and Arthur Downhour.
Friends and family are welcome to attend the viewing on February 14th anytime between 4pm and 8pm at Mt. Vernon Memorial Park, 8201 Greenback Lane, Fair Oaks. Graveside service will be February 15th at 10am at Mt. Vernon Memorial Park and then a special memorial service will take place at 11:30am at the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Granite Bay, 6365 Douglas Blvd. with a reception to follow
