Betty Jo Steele

Betty Jo Steele, born June 8, 1924 in Nampa, Idaho entered peacefully into rest on December 7, 2011 in Cameron Park, CA. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Col. Wendell A. Steele, daughter Terri Sellers and grandsons Cory Welch and Brian Mugleston.

She is survived by her daughters Jacke Laurin (son in law Geoff Laurin) and Patti Mugleston, as well as three grandchildren; Seth, Melanie, David Mugleston and her very dear friend Sham.

Betty travelled the world as a USAF wife and mother of three girls. She retired with her husband in California in 1964. During her long retirement, she and her husband worked at Mather AFB until 1989.

Betty will be remembered for her generosity to so many. Her favorite hobbies were golfing and playing bridge. Her greatest joy was being mom to three wonderful daughters.

Rest in peace now, you will be missed by many.
