

Brooke Ashley Stubben passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family ( husband, mom and close friend) on August 8, 2026. She was born December 17,1980 in South Haven Michigan to Cheryl Wildt Anderson and Blake Moe. She moved to Sacramento California in 1996 where she spent her teen years, graduated from Sacramento State University with a degree in engineering and met and married the love of her life, Rob Stubben on August 20th, 2006 on Drummond Island Michigan.
Brooke lived life to the fullest as she and Rob traveled extensively in Europe, the US, Caribbean, and French Polynesia to name a few. They shared their interests in arts, engineering, sports, adventure, music, furry rescue dog companions and developed strong circles of deep and meaningful friendships.
Brooke loved spectator sports, particularly the Raiders, MSU basketball, the San Jose Sharks as well as participating in many sports. She was an avid skier, sailor, hiker, fisher-girl, yogi, and a novice golfer to name a few.
Brooke worked over 20 years in the structural engineering field and held the position of manager in a solar manufacturing for Sol Components. Her career included focuses on forensic structural and construction engineering and she managed to sprinkle in some fun pursuits like scooping ice cream at Baskin Robbin’s, scanning ski passes as Northstar, and working at a yoga studio.
She will be remembered for her quick wit, often dark sense of humor, a determined passion for adventure, her love of friends and family, strength of will, genuine kindness, broad thoughtfulness for others, and perseverance through life.
She leaves behind her loving husband Rob Stubben, mother Cheryl Anderson, father Blake Moe and his wife Marge, father-n-law David Stubben, half sister Karly Moe, and step sisters Samantha Johnson (Cory), and Stephanie, siblings-in-law Lori and Scott, and Julie and Marcos, several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and cousins, and of course her fur baby Nera. She was preceded in death by her step father Greg “Jack” Anderson, mother-n-law Doris Stubben, and step brother Gregory Anderson II.
