Charlene Maloof was born April 6, 1943 in New York, New York, and died peacefully on February 12, 2020 at her home in Fair Oaks, California. She was born to Charles and Claire Arbeeny, Charlene (Arbeeny) Maloof was raised in Brooklyn, New York, where she completed high school and married Albert Maloof on March 12, 1967. She and Albert lived at various addresses in Brooklyn, eventually adopting their son, Nicholas, in 1974 before moving to Staten Island in 1978 and then to Fair Oaks, California in August of 1985. There, she and Albert retired, devoting significant time to the raising of their son, church activities, and travel. Charlene is preceded in death by her parents as well as her dear step-father, Joseph Aboushanab, who gave her away at her wedding to Albert. She is survived by several loving family members; Albert (Husband), Nicholas (Son), Melissa (Daughter in Law), Amber and Elizabeth (Granddaughters), Denise Homsany (Sister), Kim Homsany-Maddox (Niece), and George Kahale (Cousin), along with a host of distant relatives and many, many loving friends from the communities of St. Anna Greek Orthodox Church in Roseville, California, as well as St. Athanasius Antiochian Orthodox Church in Sacramento, California. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, cousin, and friend and will forever be missed. Memory Eternal!
