I can't  Believe that Chong has passed. She was such an artist and so talented. even after I moved to Florida for four years and Texas for a couple years whenever I was in town I always planned  by times around an appointment with her.  No one  has ever been able to do what she did to make me, as we always called it , "beauteous" for the past 20 years. Chong truly was a gifted artist and a beautiful person and Young, I am so sorry for your loss.

I was so so saddened to hear of Chong's illness and her eventual passing. I enjoyed seeing her so much over the past eight years when she would cut my hair. We talked of our mutual love of singing, and more than once we went to each other's choir concerts. She would tell me about Korea and golfing and encourage me to try both. She opened my eyes to a lot of good things. She was such a lovely woman inside and out. I miss her so much and have let my hair grow ridiculously long since I last saw her. I just have a hard time letting anyone else near it since Chong got sick. It just doesn't seem right. May God give her a wonderful new home, and bless her family as they mourn losing her. I am thankful to have known her and been changed by her.

I just found out about Chongs passing and words can not express how heart broken I am to have missed her service. I met Chong the day of my wedding almost 25 years ago and I've had the great honor of having her in my life. Wedding, pregnant, first hair cuts for both of my kids (now 18 and 23) So many happy memories she shared with me. She will always be special to our whole family. God blessed us to have known her.

There is a void in my heart and in my life.  I have been Chong's client for 23 years and I have lost a dear friend.  The world has lost a beautiful person, a rarity in today's world.  Chong was beautiful on the inside as well as the outside.  Over the years we connected every 8 weeks to talk about what was new, our children, life, the world, you name it.  Chong's eyes would sparkle upon mention of her daughter and Sophie.  Young, your Mom loved you so much.  Our true connection was our hearts for our children.  She always asked about my kids even after they were all grown up and far away, not able to get haircuts from her anymore.  And then when Sophie arrived it was always fun to see new pictures of her - she loved her so much and had such a connection to her sweet little Sophie.  Young, your Mom will be sincerely and profoundly missed.  You will be in my prayers, as you have always been, (even through the years unknowingly.)  Sincerely, Angela Hood

Thank you, Young, for the lovely ceremony to celebrate the life of your Mother, Chong. I was her client for a brief 6 years but also considered her a dear friend, full of joy, integrity, dedication and beauty.  The service that you gave to honor her enriched my memory of her by seeing the happiness she shared with her family. May you and all of her family, find peace and comfort, and gain an understanding that she fulfilled God's mission for her on earth and she will continue her work with her Lord and Master. Young, please feel free to contact me.  Sorry I didn't specify that in my original post.  I have been thinking about you a lot as I told you I lost my mom a month ago.  You are a strong woman and your mom was so very proud of you.

Chong was my friend and hairdresser for 16 years. During those years we had many talks about our families, love, life and God. I have two grown daughters and I remember talking about"our girls" a lot. Young, I am sure you know how much she loved you, but let me tell you we both took so much pleasure talking about how our girls are our best friends. She will be missed - a truly beautiful person inside and out - I think she was a pretty good golfer too!!  RIP my dear Chong - you are resting in Gods loving arms until we meet again.

You were my hair dresser for about 14 years.  You always made look & feel so good.  You made me feel like we were friends even though our friendship never went beyond the salon.  You were so beautiful on the outside as well as in the most important part which is the inside of ourselves.  I will always remember you.  You are in good hands now.

I don't even know how to start this. Chong was my hair dresser and friend for 18 years now. Words cannot express the sadness in losing such a dynamic and wonderful person. Know that you will always be missed and can never be replaced. My prayers and condolences for your family. Love, Shannon

I was a client of Chong's for about 17 years and thought the world of her.  I have a funny story to tell about Chong.  I'd been in a hurry that day and didn't have on any makeup and looked a little frumpy and after Chong cut my hair and styled it she said to me as she was turning my chair so I could see the haircut...."you know Liz, the haircut will look better when you have makeup on!"  I never went for another haircut without having makeup on again, not because she hurt my feelings but because I knew she was right.  I loved her sense of humor, her laugh, her truthfulness and her caring.  I will miss you so much Chong and to Young (spelling)....my God how she loved you!!!  When I would ask about how you were doing she would smile and share what was going on in your life.  You were her best friend and she couldn't have been more proud of you!  Thank you so much for taking care of her as she finished her race here on earth!  A parent cannot ask for more than their child(ren) to help them finish their race here on earth with dignity, strength and love....even as our bodies fail.  Thank you, thank you, thank you!

You were a great friend and my hairdresser for 20 years.  I miss you so much and we always made each other laugh.  I still remember when you asked permission to name your dog Sophie, after my granddaughter.  I would love to know who adopted Sophie so if you know leave that info here.  Miss you deeply!

Our family had the great privilege to have you as our hairdresser and friend for the past 25 years.  We have shared our different highs and lows in our lives and you have been such a strength to me during times when I needed a friend who listened and cared. My heart is broken. I was blessed to work right next to you for many many years..You were such a hard worker, never complained (you would say, "no one would listen anyway" and I would say, "I will") and one amazing sweet special friend and coworker..You will be greatly missed by myself and many others.
