Claire Franusich

At age 90, Claire passed away peacefully surrounded by family on September 3, 2015. She was born on April 25, 1925 in Omaha, NE to Severino and Pierina Larese and moved to Sacramento in 1946. Claire was the devoted wife of 54 years to the late Jack Ivan Franusich and was a long time resident of Land Park. She was the cherished mother of Joanne Bates (Richard) of Roseville, CA and step-mother to Ronald Brown (Jeanne) of Redding, CA; adored grandmother of Kimberley Bates of San Francisco, CA , Jonathan Bates of Sacramento, CA; Heather Brown Ferguson (Jim) of Redding, CA, Derrick Brown of Sheridan, WY;great-grandmother to Chandler and Noah Ferguson of Redding, CA and loving sister to Carmen Massara of Omaha NE, Madalene Kirby of Meridian, ID and the late Rita Campbell of Tucson, AZ.

Claire was an inspiration to all who met her. She will always be remembered as the sweetest little redhead with a radiant smile and a positive attitude no matter what challenges were presented to her. She loved her family and had a genuine interest in all people. She greatly appreciated all who helped her ... especially the staff and caregivers at Sunrise of Fair Oaks Senior Living where she lived the past year and a half. Also a heartfelt thank you to all at Sutter Health for their medical care over the years.

All services will be held on Friday, September 11, 2015 at Divine Savior Catholic Church, 9079 Greenback Lane, Orangevale, CA 95662. Family and friends are invited to attend a Rosary at 9:30 - 10:15 am prior to the Funeral Services at 10:30 am. A reception will follow in the Church Hall. Internment will be private at Mount Vernon Memorial Park.
