

Clarence graduated from parker High School in Birmingham, Alabama and shortly after graduating he joined the United States Air Force where he retired after 21 years of service; later he moved to Sacramento, California where he was hired as a plant Operator by Shell Oil Company and retired for a second time after 21 years.
Clarence married his beloved wife in 1979 and they both had many things in common. They loved traveling, bowling, camping and winning souls for christ.
Clarence was a committed Christian who loved the Lord. He served on the Deacon Board, Marriage Ministry, Baptism Committee, and worked with the Finance Counting Team. He served wherever he was needed. He joined the Center of Praise Ministries in 2005 where he served and sat under the teaching of Bishop Parnell M. Lovelace and First Lady Dianna Lovelace. He also attended Calvary Christian Center for 25 years where he served and sat under the teaching of Pastor Phillip G. Goudeaux and First Lady Brenda Goudeaux.
Clarence departed this life on January 13, 2023, at 8:20 PM peacefully at home. He was preceded in death by his father, Lawson Pruitt; mother, Mary L. Pruitt; brother, Lenton Pruitt; sister, Thelma Jordan; daughter, Pamela young, and nephew, james Randolph Pruitt.
He leaves to cherish his memory of his beloved wife, Betty J. Pruitt (Sacramento, CA) of 43 years son, Terrence Pruitt: daughters, Camilla Pruitt, Yulonda Thompson, Cherie Thompson, Kesha Thompson and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and, friends.
Clarence will be long remembered as a servant for Christ, a loving husband and father.
