

Clyde was a member of the United States Army from November of 1950 to September of 1952.
Service was terminated by Honorable Release form active duty. His rank was Private First Class.
He was wounded while in active duty in Korea. After release from the hospital he returned to active duty.
After his discharge from the military he worked in the logging industry in Eureka, California. He decided to return to the Sacramento area. He began working for a swimming pool company. He loved building pools. He became a contractor and started his own swimming pool company. He knew Marie for years and she became his life long love, friend and companion until her death five years ago.
Clyde was a musician all of his life from boyhood. He mostly played the violin and the guitar all by ear. He also had a very nice singing voice and wrote many songs. Clyde was a Christian and believed in God, but did not attend a church. He did read the bible at home.
