Diana Rose Foster
February 4, 1952 – February 13, 2020
Diana Rose Foster of Citrus Heights, California, passed away on the 13th of February 2020 at the age of 68 after her battle with stomach cancer.
Diana was born on February 4, 1952 to John and Rose Berente in Toledo, Ohio. Her parents instilled a strong work ethic in her. There were times in her life Diana would work multiple jobs to make sure her family would want for nothing.
Diana was strong, independent, and determined to provide for her family and give them the life she felt they deserved. She was a fierce defender of her children; standing up for them when others tried to push them around. Her family meant more to her than anything else in the world. Diana could make friends with anyone anywhere. It’s been said she could walk into a 7-11 and 45 minutes later she would walk out with at least two new friends.
Diana loved hosting her family and friends for parties and gatherings. It meant the world to her to spend time with her family. She was passionate about food and could often be found in the kitchen baking. Anyone who knew Diana knew that she was the most loving, giving, and supportive mother and wife a family could ask for.
After many years in civil service, Diana accepted a position at with the Internal Revenue Service in Greensboro, NC where she met her current husband Dewey. They moved from North Carolina to California where they were able to be close to her family.
Diana is survived by her husband, Dewey, her three children from her first marriage to Lewie Foster Sr., Harriet, Tina, and Lewie, her siblings, Georgia, Jamie, and Jimbo, six grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers that a donation be made to her memorial fund via GoFundMe or in her name to the American Cancer Society. A memorial service will be held at 5:30pm on Saturday, February 29th, 2020 at Salt Mine, 590 G Street, Lincoln, California.
