Born in San Francisco, CA, 9/24/1924 to Cornelius Lyons and Edith Maxwell. Died surrounded by family on 1/04/2014. Preceeded in death by her first husband Frank Meehan and her second husband of 42 years, Walt Browning. She leaves behind 4 children, Bill (Shirley), Tom (Denise), Jim (Kathy) Meehan, and Susan Bargas; 2 stepsons: Jerry (Lois) Meehan of Malibu, Ca and F. Jim Meehan (Norma) of Illinois; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her step brother Dean Miller of Arizona. Edith had many nieces and nephews from her Browning family of Grass valley, Ca whom she loved very much. Edie worked at Lucky Stores in the Camelia Shopping Center for 25 years and made life-long friends before retiring. The family extends greatful recognition of loving care provided by Vitas Hospice and asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Vitas.
