Edward Louis Weinthaler Jr., born November 10, 1933 in Chicago, Illinois, passed away November 19, 2020 in Granite Bay, California. Edward is survived by his wife Sandra Warner Weinthaler, children Cynthia Lee Weinthaler, Jeffrey Warner Weinthaler and Stacey Lyn Weinthaler, brother Richard A. Weinthaler of Rochester, New York, and sister Judith Dauchy of Amherst, Massachusetts.
Edward grew up in Oak Park, Illinois. He graduated from Oak Park High School in 1951, earned his undergraduate degree in engineering at Cornell University in 1955, earned his master degree in engineering at Cornell University in 1956 and earned his MBA at the University of Michigan in 1959. He was a member and officer of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity.
Edward was married in February 1961 to Sandra Warner Weinthaler, University of Michigan 1958. They moved to New York city in 1961, later moving to California in 1963. They resided in San Mateo and Hillsborough for over 20 years. They moved to Granite Bay, California in 1986.
Edward's business career spanned 40 years. He worked as a management consultant and business executive in Detroit, New York, Chicago, San Francisco and Sacramento. He Served as a Manager of Management Services for Deloite Touche, Manager of Distribution Services for Federal Mogul Corp, Manager of Corporate Logistics for Crown Zellerbach and VP of Distribution Operations for AMFAC Corp.
Edward specialized in the field of distribution and was an active member of National Council of Distribution.
Edward also spent many years consulting in the food processing and food supplement industry where he developed a manufacturing process for extraction of anti-oxidants from wine grape seeds.
Edward was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Burlingame, California and attended Fair Oaks Presbyterian Church in Fair Oaks, California. His hobbies included golf, tennis and travel. He will be missed by all who knew him.
