Evelyn was born in the Central Valley of California on March 24, 1929. She was preceded in death by her dear parents Peter and Lydia Campouris. Evelyn was very proud of her large family, and often spoke lovingly of her heritage. Her father immigrated from Embros, Greece, and mother Lydia came from a German village close to the Russian border. She is also preceded in death by her five sisters and four brothers; sadly, two brothers preceded her in death as young children.
Evelyn worked tirelessly throughout her life beginning as a young woman helping on her family's farm and grocery store & restaurant located across from their home located in Verona, California, Sutter County.
Evelyn attended East Nicholas High School where she played trombone in the school's band. She excelled at many things, and was extremely talented when she played her trombone. After high school, she worked for the State of California with the Department of Motor Vehicles and the Department of Treasury at the state's Capitol, and Progressive Insurance Company where she made many friends prior to her retirement. She was known for her immaculate sense of fashion, kind compassion, and sense of humor. Famous for her love and talent as a wonderful cook.
Evelyn's proudest moments were spent with her precious family. She is survived by her three children, Diane Brennan of Sacramento, Joseph John Brennan III of Pleasant Grove, Robert Brennan of Novato, California. Beloved grandmother to Robbie Brennan-Bundy & husband Chyrs Brennan-Bundy of Florida, Korey Hutto of Sacramento, Ryan Brennan of Costa Rica, and Megan Brennan of San Diego. Known and loved by many nieces and nephews, plus friends of all ages.
Services will be held Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Mount Vernon Memorial Park in Fair Oaks, California. Funeral will begin at 10:00 a.m. in the "Garden of Humility," with a reception to follow with food and refreshments at the Main Building, 2nd floor.
