Faye Elaine Spanger

Faye Elaine Spanger was born on May 13, 1926, in Rodeo, CA. Daughter of Walter and Phoebe Geisler, she had five brothers, (Edward, Dutch, Ward, Vernon, and Merle Geisler) and one sister (Lois Fulbright). She passed away on January 15, 2023, surrounded by her daughters and grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, Richard (Dick) Frank Spanger. Faye lived in Roseville, CA. She enjoyed fishing and travelling with her husband and friends to Alaska, Hawaii, Palm Springs and Mexico. She spent time with family and friends at their homes in Huntington, OR and Lake Van Norden, CA. She enjoyed playing pinochle, gin rummy and cribbage. She regularly attended classes at the YMCA and enjoyed taking walks, watching tennis and spending time with her loving family. Faye leaves behind her daughters Nancy Watkins (son-in-law Mauris Watkins) and Susan Spanger, grandson Tim Watkins (Mindy Watkins), granddaughters Laurie Watkins, Kelly Ures (Scott Ures) and Karly Ahrendt, and seven great-grandchildren, Trevor, Nick and Mason Watkins, and Heidi, Lily, John and Travis Ures. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2023, Mount Vernon Memorial Park and Mortuary, 8201 Greenback Lane, Fair Oaks, CA 95628. Internment will be private.
