Florence Edith Cupp Goodson, 91 year old resident of Roseville, Ca., passed away January 5, 2016. Born Feb. 25, 1924, she was the youngest of eight children born to Luther Monroe Cupp and Florence Edith Waters Cupp of Stroud, Oklahoma.
She is survived by her daughter Janet Allison (Richard) of Roseville, son Larry Goodson of Lincoln, four grandchildren, Rhonda Allison, Russell Allison of Sacramento, Deanna Barth (Chris) of Hollister, and Kevin Goodson (Lizz) of Santa Rosa, seven (Allison, Goodson) great grandchildren and two beloved nieces, Sherrell Freeman of Salinas and Eileen June Rasmussen of Chualar, Ca.
Edith’s husband Johnny (Lee) Goodson preceded her in death June 9, 2002. They had previously lived in Japan and Germany while working for civil service. While living in Germany, Edith joined a Volksmarch Club , that walked 6.2 miles at a time. She continued her passion for walking after she and Lee retired to Sun City Roseville. They also were founding members of the Pleasant Grove community church. Their lives were filled with family, service to their community and travel.
