Frances Pauline Hobbs Hare, age 85, from Weimar, California passed away Wednesday, September 13th, 2023 at Siena Care Facility in Auburn, California where she had been for a year and a half due to health reasons.
Frances was born March 29th, 1938 in Los Angeles, California to Lucille Elizabeth Phipps born September 7th, 1922 in Oklahoma, and Ellis Edward Hobbs born November 14th, 1916 in Missouri.
Frances was the oldest of five siblings, Joyce Annette Crowley Petrocchi, Jon Charles Preis, Celeste Louise Preis, and Diedre Camille Preis. She married Francis Lee DeBusk March 11th, 1955 in Reno, Nevada and together they had seven children; Karen Ada Louise Severance, Debra Lee Peavy, Rhonda Jean Cole, Lynda Kaye Fernandez, Laura Maye Pingree Wadman, Shellie Ann Hoferer Browning, and Daniel Lee DeBusk.
After divorcing Francis Lee DeBusk, she married Asa Richard Hare February 14th, 1976, in Reno, Nevada. They owned Hare’s Mobile Home Teardowns and Transport which they operated until Richard’s death on December 18th, 1998. After that, she ran her own Pilot Car business working for D&R Transport.
She stayed active going to the gym in Colfax and her library and activities callings at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints also in Colfax where she had many friends that she considered her family. Her opinion was often read and heard in the Auburn Journal and also by her family – lol.
Frances is survived by her brother Jon and sister Celeste, all seven of her children, fifteen grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren. She will be interred at Mount Vernon Memorial Park & Mortuary in Fair Oaks, CA and there will be a memorial for her at a later date. Mom, we love you and will miss you. God be with you ‘til we meet again.
