Gail Marie Nelms, born in October 1955 in Fresno, California, passed away on October 16, 2026, surrounded by the people she loved the most. After courageously fighting cancer for two and a half years.
Gail lived most of her life in California and for the last 20 years she was living in Kansas. Throughout her life, she showed kindness and generosity that went far beyond material things. She may not have had much, but whatever she did have, she was always willing to give to give to someone who needed it. Giving came naturally to Gail, and her heart was always open to helping others. Her generosity and compassion were a true reflection of the person she was.
Above all else, Gail deeply loved her family. Her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were a treasured part of her life, and the love she had for them was immeasurable. Family meant everything to Gail, and the memories, moments, and love they shared will remain in their hearts forever.
Gail was preceded in death by her mother, father, twin brother, and one sister. She leaves behind her three sons Jason, Jeremy and Ricky: three sisters: nine grandchildren: four great grandchildren, along with many other family members and loved ones who will miss her dearly.
Although Gail's journey with cancer was long and difficult her life will be remembered for so much more than the battle she faced she will be remembered for her generous heart, her love for family, and her wiliness to give what she could to those in need. Her legacy lives on through the people she loved and lives she touched.
A celebration of Gail's life will be held on Saturday, November 7th, 2026, at 11am at Family Fellowship Church 2114 Goldridge Street Selma, California.
