George was an only child, proceeded in death by his father, George Albert and mother, Lucille Courtney. He leaves his wife, Dorthee and daughter, Jeanne. He died of a massive heart attack. George and Dorthee would have been married 58 years in November, 2011.
George graduated from San Juan Union High Scholl. He served in the U.S. Army from 1950 to 1952, a Korean War Veteran. George was in business for himself from about 1958 and still working at his death. He manufactured asphalt and soil testing equipment. He had many clients from state, County, City and engineering firms, across the nation.
There will be a memorial service at Carmichael Presbyterian Church, McMillen Hall, 5645 Marconi Avenue, 2:00 p.m., November 2, 2011.
