1941-2018
ROCKLIN, Calif - Gerald F. "Jerry" Hearn, 77, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2018, due to injuries sustained from a fall in his Rocklin, Calif. home.
He was born Jan. 18, 1941, in Warren, OH, a son of James J. Hearn and Helen Hearn. A Warren G. Harding High School graduate, he joined the U.S. Air Force in 1960 and retired to the Sacramento, Calif. area after 26 years of service.
He went on to provide more than 10 additional years of civilian federal service at McClellan AFB, retiring in 2011 from what he called his dream job rebuilding airplane generators, when the base closed.
He is survived by his three children, son, Terry Hearn and daughters, Dawn Hearn and Caryl Hearn; his three grandchildren, Jeffrey Hearn, William Hearn and Amber Hearn; his three great-grandchildren, Jason, Riley and Caden; brothers, Daniel Hearn (Connie) of Norman, Okla. and Thomas Hearn (Brenda) of Mayview, Mo.; and sisters, Elaine Colson (Floyd), Patricia Machingo and Rose Uchrinscko (Steve), all three of Warren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James J. Hearn and Helen Hearn Blazevic; his wife, of 45 years, Donna Hearn of Duluth, Minn.; and his brother, James E. Hearn and sister, Dolores Delida both of Warren.
He will be greatly missed.
There are no services at this time.
Arrangements were by Mount Vernon Memorial Park and Mortuary, Fair Oaks, Calif.
