Guadalupe Maldonado

Lupe’s greatest accomplishment was his family along with his involvement in his community. Lupe met his wife, Mary, in high school and they were married for 63 years when she passed away in 2023.. He was the proud father of his three children, Gina Mitchell, Derek Maldonado and Lisa Walden (son-in-law Russ) . He was an amazing grandfather to Trey (wife Noelle), Darienne (husband Kurt), Logan, Mariah, Michael and Blake along with being a great grandfather to Reylan, Avelyn, Landon, Eila, Luna, Nora, Oliver and another new baby on the way.

Lupe was a very hard working man who owned his business, L & M Liquor and Deli, in Orangevale for 40 years. He was a contributor to many community events and sponsored many of the neighborhood kids’ sports teams. His store has been named Best Convenience Market for 10 years running – an amazing accomplishment.

Lupe is also survived by his brothers, Robert and Jesse and sisters Lillian and Grace along with many nieces and nephews.

We will all miss him very much but know that he is in heaven with his lifelong love, Mary
