Uncle Guy was certainly my favorite.
He had a wonderful sense of humor, always teasing. Always making me laugh!
I’ll always remember how he asked me if I still smoked & we would walk out in the front & sneak one (Kristina & Tyler’s house).
Our heartfelt sympathy to the family. He will truly be missed.

Fondly,

Lolita & Willie Lockett & Family

Uncle Guy (Fifi) and our Mom Mary Lilliana (Lila) in Illinois

Uncle Guy, Grandma Saladine (nee Famiglietti) and Our Mom, Mary Lilliana

One of my favorite memories of Uncle Guy (Fifi) — my mother's older brother, and the man I'm named after — happened in Chicago while he was visiting his sister, Mary Lilliana (his dear Lila). Mom was cooking, as usual, and had forgotten an ingredient, so Uncle Guy and I made a quick grocery run. At checkout, the cashier asked if he needed a bag. Without missing a beat, he said, "No thank you, I have one at home." She blinked, then broke into a smile — that was Uncle Guy exactly: dry, deadpan, and completely disarming, without even trying. I've used that same line at checkout counters ever since. Every time, I think of him and smile the same way that cashier did. That was his gift — turning an ordinary errand into something you'd carry with you forever.
