Henry “Hank” Chavez was born on October 16, 1932 to Angel and Epifania Chavez in Abernathy, Oregon. After graduating high school, he joined the United States Air Force. While in the Air Force, he started as a Gunner in a B-29 and ended his career as a boom operator on the KC-135, giving Uncle Sam over 20 years of service.
He is survived by his children Angela Garrett, Henry Chavez, Anthony Chavez, Franklin Chavez, Christina Herrera, Christopher “Booka” Chavez, twenty one grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
