On the morning of January 8, 2016, James Theodore "Poopsie" Faherty passed away at his daughter's home in Roseville, CA surrounded by his family. James was 82 years old. James Faherty was born in Boston, MA on January 27, 1933 to James and Julia Faherty. James married the love of his life, Marina Estrada in 1955. James is preceded in death by his mother, father, brother Jackie, sister Mary, wife Marina, and granddaughter Tara Riggins. He is survived by brother and best friend Peter Faherty, his five sons Dennis Faherty, Dan Faherty, James Faherty, Richard Faherty, Sean Faherty and his one daughter Kathleen Sutter. He is also survived by his 15 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. James was the best brother, father, grandfather, friend that anyone could ask for. He was a loved icon in the Orangevale community and his presence will truly be missed by many. We love him today, will love him tomorrow and will love and miss him always. Services will be held Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 10:00AM at Divine Savior Church in Orangevale. Service will be immediately followed by a military burial at Mount Vernon Park and Mortuary.
