

Jim was born in 1924 in Sioux City, Iowa to James and Ethel Killion. After high school he traveled to Alaska to work on the Alcan Highway. Captain James Killion served in WWII as B-17 pilot and as a B-29 pilot in the Korean war. Jim had a funny sense of humor and a sharp memory and loved to tell war stories to his family.
He married Carolee Hobbie and raised three children in Roseville, California. They loved traveling to the coast and they celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary before her passing in October of 2020.
He retired from the City of Roseville in 1985. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He enjoyed his long daily walks, crossword puzzles and dining out with family. His favorite was a Fat’s Mai Tai.
Jim is survived by his two daughters, his son, two sons in law, six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, his sister in-law and many nieces and nephews and their extended families. Jim will be deeply missed by the family that loved him.
