Janet was born to Robert and Erlene Anderson on October 10th, 1949 in Sacramento, CA. She was the eldest sister to Deborah, Barbara, and Donna. Janet graduated in 1967 from Luther Burbank High School in Sacramento, CA. While growing up Janet participated in Rainbow girls and Girl Scouts. She began her accounting career at the district office for 7-11 while studying at Sacramento City College. She later moved on to an accountant for the state of California Department of Mental Health where she worked for 35 years. On December 11th, 1971 Janet married Joseph Quintana and moved to Orangevale in 1974 where they would spend the next 33 years together. They would have one child, a daughter Amy. As a family they visited places like Yellowstone, Oregon, and Southern California where Joe’s family is. Janet and Amy were very active in Girl Scouts and took many trips together. After Joe passed in 2007 Janet took up the hobby of making cards for operation write home, a program designed for overseas military members. She also had monthly craft get togethers.
Janet is survived by her daughter Amy, son-in-law Barry and grandchildren Joseph, Annamay, Riley and Tyler. Her sister Donna Anderson of Orangevale, sister Barbara of Sacramento, sister-in-law Mary Harris of Corona and nephews and their wives; PJ and Katie of McKinleyville, Wesley and Ashley of Roseville, Jason and Francine of Corona, Marc and Jessica of Rescue and Josh and Shaundra of Fontana.
Janet is preceded in death by her husband Joseph and sister Deborah who both passed in 2007. Her father Robert who passed in 1989 and her mother Erlene who passed in 2000.
Janet’s service will be held Saturday June 22nd 2019 at 2pm at Mount Vernon Memorial Part and Mortuary in Fair Oaks, CA. Services will be officiated by Pastor Rich. Reception to be held after services. She will be put to rest with her husband Joseph at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon CA.
