John T. McDonald Jr. passed away March 14 in Sacramento, Ca. He was born December 28, 1957 in Mobile, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his mother, Carrie, and father, John Sr. He is survived by his loving and devoted partner, Sharon Padilla, and their daughter, Alexis McDonald. He also left behind 3 stepchildren, Kimberly, Vanessa, and David; sisters Lori (Ed) Phillips, Carolyn (Darrell) Watford, and Francene Laub; brother JimLaub, and numerous nephews, nieces, and grandchildren.
John grew up in Vallejo, Ca, where he lived until his late 30’s. He then moved to Sacramento, where he was an IBEW member, and was employed by River City Communications Corp. He was a proud union worker and was loved by many, but the light of his life was his daughter, Alexis.
A memorial for John will be held on March 31 at 2:30 at La Sierra Community Center, 5325 Engle Rd. #100 in Carmichael. In lieu of flowers, a trust has been established for his daughter at Bank of America, acct # 08356-73192. Checks can be made payable to Lori Phillips ITF Alexis McDonald.
