

Jack Tinker passed away peacefully on Wednesday October 23, 2013, at the age of 79. He was born in the Diamond Springs area of California on June 29, 1934. He graduated from San Juan High School and returned to Orangevale in 1959 to be a life-long resident.
Jack worked for Pacific Bell for 40 years. He also served in the Army and Naval Reserves. His service in the Army took him to Hawaii where he met his bride, Edel, on the Waikiki beach. They were married for 53 years prior to Edel’s passing in 2012. Jack enjoyed renovating and expanding their home and doing projects on their Orangevale property. He was also a strong supporter and patron of performing arts in the schools and community.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 3 sisters. He greatly valued all his family and friends and was a loving husband, dad, grandfather, and uncle. Jack is survived by his loving sons, daughters-in-law, and 6 grandchildren: Rob and Sue Tinker, Gabi and Jeni; and Hal and Michele Tinker, Cameron, Bethanie, Peter, Jonnie.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 29 at 2:00 PM at Mount Vernon Memorial Park & Mortuary, 8201 Greenback Lane, Fair Oaks, CA.
