

Judith Ann Bales Whisler, 81, of Orangevale, California, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2026. Judy was born on December 22, 1944, in Sacramento, California. She spent her early years in Fair Oaks, CA, and graduated from San Juan High School in 1962. Judy dedicated 25 years of her career as an insurance agent and was actively involved in Little League baseball, serving as the head scorekeeper for District 5 Big League at American River College for 38 years.
Judy loved her family and friends deeply, always ensuring that no one felt alone or left out. She often welcomed those without family to gatherings, such as Thanksgiving and Christmas, inviting anyone who needed a place to go. She was a master crocheter, where she spent many hours creating works of art, such as afghans and scarves, for friends and family. She loved spending time with her family and friends talking about anything that brought laughter, love and healing.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Lynn Alan Whisler (87); her brother, Joseph (Jennifer) Bales; her children: Douglas (Kim) Whisler, Cynthia (Eric) Obermayr, Dean (Shari) Whisler, Samantha (Brent) Ullrich; grandchildren: Autumn Whisler, Andrew Whisler, Angela Whisler, Ashley (Derrick) Stokes, Allisen Obermayr, Bryan Obermayr, Jack Obermayr, Brea Ullrich, Brylee Ullrich, Madisynn (Ryan) Bialobreski, Devlen Whisler; and great-grandchildren: Leonard Stokes, Rosemary Stokes, and Murphy Mae Bialobreski. She was preceded in death by her parents James (Josephine) Bales, and her son Daniel Whisler.
A memorial service will be held on July 2, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Mount Vernon Mortuary, 8201 Greenback Ln, Fair Oaks, CA 95628.
