Karen was a warm and caring friend that made the extra effort to let you know you were special to her. Karen was a fantastic nurse and with her warmth and humor, she made the long work day such a joy. We all have so many special memories with her. 
My thoughts and prayers go out to Karen's family and loved ones. She shared with us how much she loved her family and there was never a prouder mom.

I’m so glad we had a chance to get to know each other better! You were a wise lady and 
a straight shooter when it came to life, work and the political arena. Oh the arguments we had regarding the election yet every point you spoke to was made after careful research! As brilliant a nurse you were, you were also a kind, loving friend! So rext easy, Karen, until we meet again!

For some reason I wore the necklace you picked out for me. That was yesterday before I heard about your passing. I could always counted on you at work, such a good UR Nurse. Such a kind big heart.  Many will miss you terribly as you touched so many lives with your kindness and caring.  I know I will.

Karen's time on earth was far too brief but in her earthly years her wit and humor, her sharp intellect, and wonderful family will reside in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.  She will be forever surrounded by love and light and twinkle among the stars.

We have missed you at work and remember walking on lunch break and talking about so many things together.  You jogged backwards in front of me and kept telling me I could walk faster. You loved your family, Mike and your son.  I remember you telling your prayer for your sons safety in the military, that was so heavy on your heart.  Enjoy heaven dear Karen, until we meet again.
