On Saturday, a friend of mine, a friend of Ketogains, and a member of Ketogains Bootcamp tagged several of us in a post with this image. Today (Tuesday) we lost our dear Katrina Lussy to that heartless monster, cancer.

It’s my belief that Katrina was sharing this photo as a prayer (and a reminder of faith to many of us) on one of her last days on this earth.

Katrina was a giver, a cheerleader for the broken, a fighter for the underdog and wronged, and a loyal friend. She poured of her spirit into so many of us. Personally, she sent me so many little goodies. She introduced me to my favorite coffee, Valhalla Java Odin’s Force. When I lost my AJ (my aunt) to breast cancer, she sent one of the first messages I received and a care package soon followed. Over the last couple of years, it wasn't uncommon to get a surpise gift from Katrina....coffee, a mug, a tank, a HUGE container of protein powder, a pillow she had made with a pic of my Lucy (my Yorkie) and I....or a note (online or handwritten) starting with "Hey Girlie." It was delightful to see her reaction when I sent her little things in return. She was a gem.

Katrina was part of our bootcamp family and today (Tuesday) I believe she had the grandest of transformations as she entered Heaven. May we celebrate her life as we mourn her passing. She truly touched the lives of many....I was one life she greatly impacted.

“Jesus, take the wheel
Take it from my hands
'Cause I can't do this on my own
I'm letting go
So give me one more chance
And save me from this road I'm on
Jesus, take the wheel”

Katrina was such a great team cheer leader. She was always pushing me in a good way both on FB and IG. Katrina was one of the most selfless people I have ever not met, my only regret is not ever having a chance to meet her in person. I know she's watching over all of us, my hope is that she feels all the love from her Bootcamp family still. Katrina, you are loved and missed.

Katrina was and still is an inspiration to me, she truly blessed my life with her beautiful spirit and humongous kind heart. Over the last couple years getting to know Katrina, and so many like minded individuals on a journey of betterment through ketogains, Katrina was the biggest cheerleader, she always had a kind word of encouragement and I always felt her genuiness personality. I learned early on of her illness and was humbled by her endless love of life. It's incredible how much of an impact someone like Katrina can make to a person able to appreciate her greatfullness. My thoughts and prayers go to all your loved ones.. there are so many

I never met Katrina in person but I felt like I’ve known her forever. We met through Ketogains virtual bootcamp a couple of years ago. She was everybody’s cheerleader. We messaged back and forth often and we even spoke on the phone about a month ago. She was a lovely person with a generous heart. She was funny and she definitely won the GIF game in the bootcamp group. Her spirit will remain with me and remind me to always be kind. Soar high, lady. Miss you already.

I met Katrina online through Ketogains. We did several boot camps together. What always struck me was how positive she was in spite of her health battles. She never talked about herself and always encouraged those of us who were struggling. Katrina was the kindest person I have ever had the honor of knowing and she has touched my heart. May she Rest In Peace.

I never met Katrina in person, but she touched my life and many others with her kindness and amazingly resilient spirit. She was a very important part of our online bootcamp family and was loved by hundreds of people. Heaven gained a most special angel. There is no one like Katrina. She was a very bright light and the constellations will be made brighter by her glow.

Katrina and I met online through ketogains and we connected immediately. We became very close and even though we had never met in person, I felt like we had been friends for years. Katrina and I messaged each other almost every day, even if it was just a quick hello and nite nite. We always said "love ya" at the end of every conversation. Katrina was the strongest, most selfless person I have ever met in my entire life! She rarely ever complained and if she did it was short and onto how was I feeling. Katrina, I will miss our talks and your beautiful spirit and knowing you aren't in pain brings me comfort at this sad time. Fly high sweet warrior...Your friend forever.
