Leadelle Skelly

July 2, 1919 – May 31, 2016

Leadelle was born July 2, 1919 in Grand Junction, Colorado to Blanche and David Finch. She moved to Ogden, Utah when she was five years old. She attended Lewis Junior Elementary School for 10 years then transferred to Ogden High School, graduating May 28, 1937.

Leadelle moved to California in May of 1937 where she met Paul Skelly in Sacramento. They were married June 1, 1941. He preceded her in death in February, 1993.

She worked in Sacramento as a secretary at Miller Automobile Company and then worked at Selective Service Headquarters during WWII. In November 1945, she left her career to become a housewife when Paul came home from Saipan.

Leadelle is survived by her daughter Sharon Skelly; son Raymond Skelly and wife Kathy and grandchildren Matthew and Michael; son Paul Vincent Skelly, Jr. (Vince); son Steven Skelly; and daughter Joan Lake and husband Rex and grandchildren Darcy and Raymond, and step-grandchildren Emily Donovan and Bonnie Finato.

In addition, she left many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews along with many friends.
