Leo Roberts

Passed away Tuesday, 12/9/14 at the age of 94.

He had recently been suffering some health issues but it was pneumonia and a heart attack that was the cause of death.

He was born in Darke Cty, OH on 6/21/20 to Ed and Pearl Roberts.

He lived a very full life and was always very active.

From a paper route in high school, to work for the railroad, WWII Navy Veteran serving in Pacific and owning his own business in Oakland, CA

He settled in CA with his wife, Thelma. They were together for 61 years until she passed in 2001.

They were both very active in their church, Redwood Chapel, in Castro Valley until they moved to Sacramento 25 years ago.

He had many interests through the years from flying, fishing, traveling in their motor home, doing great travel trips with their friends and always having a garden.

Leo is survived by his Daughter, Patricia (Roberts) Steitz and son-in-law John Steitz. Sisters in-law, June Tomchin and Viola Webb. Two nephews Kenneth Buckwalter and Rick Webb and cousins Ned and Wendy Michael, Shane and Shawna, Cameron and Nicole Michael, Cheryl Jefferies and Ron and Leann Laird

A small grave site ceremony will take place Thursday 12/18/14 at 10:a.m. at

Mt Vernon Memorial park

A Celebration of Leo’s life will be held after the holidays.
