

Lillian Mary Perez Fratis passed away peacefully on November 21, 2018 at the age of 91. She was born November 8, 1927 in Los Angeles, California to Eva and Manuel Perez. She was the eldest of seven children. She grew up in Rosarito Beach, Baja and met her husband, John Fratis in San Diego. They were married in August of 1945. They lived in Folsom, CA for the majority of their married lives and specifically at Represa, CA on the grounds of Folsom Prison where John was employed. The early years of Lillian’s life involved raising her 2 daughters and helping to raise her 3 beloved nieces as well. She was active in Toastmistress, Folsom Women’s Club and Represa Women’s Club. She went to work for Twin Lakes Hospital at its inception in 1962 and loved her position there. Upon John’s retirement, they moved to Sacramento where John worked for the CCPOA-Retired Chapter. Together they participated in and chaired many charity events and met many famous politicians and celebrities. There is currently a Reflection Pond on the CCPOA premises which is "Dedicated to John and Lilli Fratis." They also became very active in a number of service organizations including Lions International, Loyal Order of Moose, Fraternal Order of Eagles, and Elks Club. Lillian went to work for Kaiser Permanente where she worked in the front main reception area. Her brilliant smile and very friendly demeanor made her famous and she was clearly a patient favorite. She became affectionately known as "The Kaiser Lady."
Lillian was always impeccably dressed and groomed. Her homes were always brilliantly decorated with rich elegance and style. She will be remembered for her smile, her lovely, friendly demeanor, her always stylish wardrobe and her signature red lipstick, which she insisted on having applied, right up to her last days.
Lillian is survived by her daughters, Nancy Jonas, husband Tom, and Diane Fratis; Grandchildren, Dylan Manning, Jeremy Jonas and Rebecca Jonas Frye, husband Rob Frye; Great-grandchildren, Brandon Manning, Jakoby Jonas, Jemma Jonas, and Elizabeth Yates-Jonas, Chloe-Rose Frye, Benjamin Frye and Brooks Frye. She is also survived by siblings, Mercy Pyle, Eddie Perez, Olga Ponce and Bill Perez and by many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Fratis, and by siblings Manuel Perez, Jr. and Hector Perez.
Special recognition to Vera Ramirez, Lillian’s nurse and "adopted daughter" who gave hours of loving care to our mother/grandmother. Many thanks also to the staff at Eskaton Fair Oaks who delivered a special brand of loving care as well.
Services will be held on Friday, December 7th at 1 o’clock PM at Mt. Vernon Chapel, 8201 Greenback Ln, Fair Oaks, CA. Reception to follow. Visitation will be on Thursday, December 6th from 4 to 8 pm.
