Lloyd Rinehard Miller

Lloyd was born in Great Bend, North Dakota to Bruno and Hilda Miller. He joined the military in 1956 and retired June 30, 1974. After his time in the armed forces, Lloyd continued his commitment to the country for another 20 years by working at McClellan AFB in the Civil Service.

Lloyd married Alice Louise on November 8, 1969. They were married until her death in 2009. Together with their children they spent many happy years in the same house. Lloyd was greatly known and well liked throughout the neighborhood whether he was doing yardwork for a widow or talking with the other retired military in the driveway enjoying a beer.

Lloyd is survived by his children Gary Miller of ID, Sharon Patrick of OH, Gigi Voegeding of MI and Vicki Julian of CA. Lloyd had 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was loved by them all.

Preceded in death was his wife Alice and siblings Clem Miller, Rodney Miller, Larry Miller, Mary Boehmlehner and Shirley Braunfelter.

There will be a small gathering to celebrate Lloyd’s life at his home on Sunday, June 20 from 3:00-5:00
