Loretta Fortier Turner from Sacramento, California, aged 92, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2026. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, July 24 at 10:30. The mass will be held at St.Lawrence Catholic Church, 4325 Don Julio Drive, North Highlands, 95660. The burial will be for family only and will be conducted at Mount Vernon Memorial Park following the mass.
Loretta was born on August 16, 1933 in Swanton, Vermont. Later, she lived and worked in Hartford, Connecticut for the Travellers Insurance Company. In 1959, Loretta moved to San Francisco with her friend Miriam Evans. Loretta worked in San Francisco for an insurance broker as a secretary. Loretta met her future husband, Robert Turner in 1960. They married on February 18, 1961 and later had three sons. Loretta and her family moved to Sacramento in 1967 and she worked for Alcan Cable, Allstate Insurance, and Volunteers of America.
Loretta is survived by her husband Robert, her three-sons, Mike, Andy, and Tim, and seven grandchildren.
Loretta is preceded in death by her parents Wilfred and Evelyn Fortier, her sisters Phyllis and Teresa, and her brother Michael.
