April 25, 1961 - June 22, 2024
Quezon City , Philippines
Marcus passed away peacefully in his home in Sacramento, CA surrounded by family. Born and raised by his father, Salvador G. Leseñana, and his mother, Emma R. Leseñana, in the Philippines, Marcus was an avid athlete playing a multitude of sports from little league baseball, to high school varsity baseball and basketball. Marcus also gave back to the sports by coaching high school varsity basketball and the first Marist School tee ball championship winning team.
Marcus moved to the United States in 1985 following his mother, Emma Leseñana, and his four brothers to Sacramento, CA. He spent 15 years working with the United States Postal Service and 12 years with AT&T. Marcus married his wife, Mina Dayoan Leseñana, in 1989 and welcomed their first daughter, Myla, in 1991. A few years later, they then welcomed their youngest daughter, Myleen, in 1998. Marcus always enjoyed spending time with his girls whether it be traveling, playing and watching sports, or bringing them shopping - he was always happy if his family was happy. Marcus is survived by his wife, Mina, his eldest daughter, Myla and husband Arlo Trinidad, his youngest daughter, Myleen, and his five siblings (Emmeliza, Salvador Jr., Nonatus, Benjamin and Michael). He had many other passions such as golf, basketball, bowling, baseball, and enjoyed traveling. He especially enjoyed when the travel destination had casinos. The Sacramento Kings were also his favorite NBA team and held season tickets since they opened the Golden 1 Center in 2016.
Marcus was an outgoing individual who was welcoming to all. No matter who you were, he would always make you feel welcomed and a part of his family. He will be deeply missed.
