I was saddened when my Christmas card was returned since it meant one thing.  Margaret was a great friend all the years I went to Fair Oaks Presbyterian Church and sang in the choir with her.  In fact we chattered so much during choir practice the choir director separated us.  On my regular trips back to the area I always stopped to see her and Millie, it was something I looked forward to.  I will miss Margaret and her cheerful attitude.

My smypathy to Margaret's children.  As a newly relocated NY'r to Fair Oaks in 1988, Margaret was a wonderful neighbor and friend.  When ever we returned to CA to visit, she was always on the top of our list.  Margaret used to refer to herself as my 'california mom.'  I will miss her sweet soul.

My deepest sympathy to Margaret's children.  Margaret and I met 30 years ago as a newly relocated NYer to Fair Oaks. We lived next door and became fast friends.  She was so kind to my family.  Every time we'd make a return trip to California, we always made time to see 'my California mom' as Margaret used to call herself.  She is now in the presence of God.  What a wonderful thought.

     I ( FRANK BELLIS ) was a good friend of Gene Browning, the ball turret gunner, and got to hear first hand how he and his crew thought that their pilot was the best in all the air force. They were all my heros!  Be sure though that even if I never met them I got to know them through Gene Browning.

My deepest sympathy to Margaret's family. She was a dear friend to me. We did volunteer work together and went on many trips together.  She will be missed.

It's with great sorrow the 401st Bomb Group receives this news.  The wives of our veterans are held in great respect along with their husbands.  To the family we send our condolences and thoughts and prayers.

Please know that my love is with this family at this time. I feel this is MY extended family, brought about by the crew of Elmer's Tune.  We will miss this beautiful lady, but just try to picture the great reunion going on in heaven....Your father has made your mom the co pilot in his golden B17, and they are flying all around heaven, for she has already touched the FACE OF GOD. She has laughed and rejoiced with the crew of Elmer's Tune and the other spouses...all of the original group is there except for Martha McFall who is also in her 90's.  I did call her, and the 401st. I CANNOT IMAGINE THE JOY IN HEAVEN AT THIS VERY MOMENT.  Know that I love you'll so very much and I pray for your comfort, for we are never ready to give up Mom, but remember WHERE SHE IS.......she is with your dad....She no longer has to look at the photo and say, "This is my husband." She can say, "I am WITH MY HUSBAND."  Someday, we shall all be together, but for now, We still have work to do.  You have been in my heart and mind since I have received the email....I shall always cherish my conversations with Margaret and the notes from her.  She was a JOY to know. She touched my heart so much, as has all the crew and the wives of crew of Elmer's Tune and their children.  May God send the comforter to comfort you now and in the days ahead. I love you'll so very much.
