

Marvelyn (Marvie) Rose (Wanous) Bellue was born on December 12, 1935, in Waterville, MN to Henry and Velzora (Seibel) Wanous. Marvie was the youngest of three daughters. She had two older sisters Anita (1931) and Jacqueline (1934).
Marvelyn graduated High School in 1953 and then went onto two years of college at the University of Minnesota where she earned a degree in practical training to become a Radiological Technician. She had a job offer at Owatonna’s hospital but decided to move to California after a visit with her sister Anita and brother-in-law Bill Voegtli.
In 1958, Marvelyn married Donnor Smith. They had two children, Michael (1960) and Jacqueline (1961) then divorced in 1965. In 1972, Marvelyn met and married Craig Silveus then divorced in 1982. In 1983, Marvie met Thomas (Tom) Bellue, a Radiologist, while working with Radiological Associates at the El Camino office as a radiological tech. They were married in 1985. They lived in Fair Oaks, CA for 23 years and lived on three acres with two horses, three dogs, one cat, birds and fish. Marvie’s passion were her pets, specifically her horses, she had several over the years. She also loved horseback riding and did that often. Marvie was a member of the American River Parkway Volunteer Equestrian Patrol where she rode horses assisting in the protection of park property and promoted safety. Marvie and Tom travelled to many countries over the years with destinations like Tahiti, China, Australia and Ireland. They also were able to attend the Kentucky Derby.
Marvelyn is predeceased by her husband Thomas Bellue (2003) and survived by her two children, Michael Smith and Jackie Kofoed; daughter-in-law Constance Smith; six grandchildren, Wendy (husband Cory) Holmes; Katie Smith; Blake Kofoed; Kent (wife Brittney) Kofoed; Dustin (wife Jazzy) Kofoed and Sierra Kofoed; two great grandchildren Harper and Hudson Holmes.
