Milford Martin Schrecongost

Milford (Mel) was born in Edgewood, Pennsylvania on September 16th, 1933 to his parents Helen (Bolinger) and Milford M. Schrecongost. In his youth he was an award winning swimmer which he also enjoyed at Lake Tahoe. Later in life Mel was an avid fisherman and loved going to Boca Reservoir to fish in his boat.

Milford served 4 years in the United States Navy where he was stationed for 2 years in El Centro, California. He attended Toledo University and Bowling Green State University where he earned a Master's Degree in geological engineering. He was employed in California by the Division of Oil & Gas, Water Resources and the Energy Commision.

Milford is preceded in death by his parents Helen (Bolinger) & Milford M. Schrecongost, and his three brothers Donald & Ronald Schrecongost, and Frederick L. Schrecongost who was killed in the Vietnam Conflict.

Milford is survived by his spouse Sue A. Schrecongost of Roseville, California, his children Linda S. Andersen and Carol L. Wright, and grandchildren Bradley J. Andersen, Rachel S. Butcher and Sean M. Wright.

Family will have a private memorial service at Mount Vernon Memorial Park in Fair oaks, California and later a Celebration of Life for Milford will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Mount Vernon Memorial Park and Mortuary, 8201 Greenback Lane, Fair Oaks, California 95628.
