

Beloved husband, father, brother and uncle, Nabil Labib Yacoub, of Roseville, slept in the Lord Tuesday night April 24, 2012. Nabil was born in Cairo, Egypt on August 2nd 1946. He graduated from high School when he was 15 years old and received his Bachelor degree in Food Science from the University of Cairo when he was 19 years old. He immigrated to the United States with his first wife Mona in 1968. few months later his daughter Nancy was born in San Francisco. Nabil completed his Masters degree from UC Davis while he worked for the National Canners Association. He then joined the Food and Drug Administration where he worked diligently to develope a test methodology that helped resolve the Tylenol cyanide scare in the early 80's. Nabil joined the State of California Department of Health Servicesin 1984 as a Public Health Chemist and worked for 20 years before he retired in August of 2005.
Nabil's legacy is his contribution and dedication to public health safety and doing Christ work. He embraced life with a smile and a great sense of humor that made even the stiffer of us crack up. He touched so many lives and made a lasting impression on every one he met. Nabil will always be fondly remembered by his family and extended family of friends as the loving, compassionate and Christ loving person. He saw Christ in every person he met and honored the needy as would Christ want him to do. May his memory be eternal and his soul rests with the loving Lord.
He is survived by his wife Leila, his daughter Nancy and his brothers Dr Maged and Dr Atef.
Nabil's funeral will be Saturday, 4/28.
