Nancy Joann Lackemacher, age 61, of Citrus Heights, California, passed on September 11, 2018, after a long illness. Despite the challenges associated with her health, she had a quiet nature but a very strong character. She didn’t let her challenges limit her.
Nancy was born on April 28, 1957, in Sacramento, California. She was the daughter of Edna Mae Larimer and Louis Henry Lerch, and sister of Deborah Lynn Aldama (Richard) and Julian Ross Herrin, Jr (Donalda).
Most of her years of employment were with the State of California. She was affiliated with the Mercy San Juan Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program (Pulmo Pals) and enjoyed spending time with her karaoke friends as well as being a friend to all her met her. She was a lover of animals, and devoted to Sadie, her Pembroke Welsh Corgi.
She was predeceased by her father and will be missed by her mother, brother and sister, cousins, nieces and nephews, and extended family.
Services will be held at Mount Vernon Mortuary, 8201 Greenback Lane, Fair Oaks, California, at 10 am, on Friday, September 21, 2018. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Placer County SPCA, or the Pulmo Pals program.
