Philippians 4:4-7 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Due to the current COVID protocols for Sac/Placer/El Dorado County, guests must wear protective masks at all times while inside the funeral home facility and practice the recommended six foot social distancing.

We previously taught the adult Sunday school class at Lifehouse Church for several years. Throughout all the time we knew her, Norma Jean was a dear and valued member of our class. She longed to know God more each day and she took such pleasure in being part of our little group. Her curiosity and drive to understand God’s word challenged us to make sure we looked for answers that were firmly anchored in scripture. She brought a passion to our search for God that only enriched all of us as we dug through God’s word together.

Norma Jean and I worked together for seven years. She used to come to my office door and say, permission to enter? Of course I would tell her to come in. The visits were always something work related but at some point a personal element would surface. We had so many talks over the years. We mourned the death of our parents together, and we laughed at our shared experiences in the dating scene. We even talked about a trip to England next year. I will miss her greatly. The office will never be the same. I am so very happy she was in my life but it hurts so much knowing she is gone. Rest in peace, dear Norma Jean. You are loved.
