Norma Jane (Meyer) Wolff-Lane passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 26, 2025, in Elk Grove California. She is survived by her husband, Robert Lane (married 35 years), sister, Diana Maynard, sons Richard Wolff and Randy Wolff (wife, Diana), Robert Lane (wife, Pam) and Kevin Lane (wife, Carolyn) and granddaughters Michelle Nguyen (husband, Chris), Rachel Wolff, and Sarah Wolff.
Norma was born December 12, 1930, in Turtle Lake, North Dakota to Emil and Reka Meyer. She graduated from Bismarck High School in 1947. Norma and her family moved to Elk Grove, California in 1950. It was there she met Wilbert Wolff, and they were married in 1953 for 32 years until his death in 1985. Richard (Rick) Wolff was born in 1957 and Randolph (Randy) Wolff was born in 1960 to Norma and Wilbert Wolff. Norma married Robert Lane in 1989, with sons Robert (wife, Pam) and Kevin (wife, Carolyn) joining the family. Norma was a long time member of Arcade Baptist Church, First Baptist Church of Elk Grove,
and Vintage Park Community Church. She was very active in the music ministry, singing in the choir for many years, playing in the bell choir and directing the children's choirs. She was also the church organist for over 10 years. Norma was also very involved in the Missions Department, serving on the Missions Committee and leading the White Cross Missionary Ministry. She also went on Missions Trips to Cameroon and Ecuador to visit missionaries and serve on the mission field on a short term basis.
Some of Norma's favorite past times included playing games, doing puzzles, sewing, gardening, traveling, and camping. But her greatest joy was being around her family with the many special memories that were created. Norma is preceded in death by her parents Emil and Reka, first husband Wilbert Wolff, brother Delton Meyer and sister-in-law Darilyn Meyer, and brother-in-law Larry Maynard.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Union Gospel Mission in Norma's memory.
