Norman Richard Rowett

Norman Richard Rowett January 1936 - October 2014, Resident of El Dorado Hills. After a courageous battle with cancer, Norman passed away peacefully. Norman was born and raised in Citrus Heights and graduated from San Juan High School. He held a degree in Engineering and retired from Aerojet after 42 years.

He was one of four children and the beloved husband of Alice “Sue” Rowett for over 58 years. Norm will forever be remembered by his devoted brothers Stan and Gary, loving sister Kathy, beloved children Rick, Jeff, Steve and their Spouses, treasured 16 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, along with countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know him.

Norm loved Golf, Fishing, Sailing, RVing and serving the El Dorado community, laughing, being with his family, having fun with friends and attending all his family events.

Norman touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity, and commitment to the El Dorado community all the way to the end. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Monday, October 27th, 2014, at 11am at Mount Vernon Memorial Park and Mortuary, 8201 Greenback Lane, Fair Oaks, California 95628. The family requests all donations be sent to The American Cancer Society.
