Robert Stanley Erickson

Robert Stanley Erickson, age 90, a World War 11 Army veteran, died January 27, 2012 at the Veteran’s Home of California, Yountville, California. He was the beloved husband of the late Dorothy “Lucy” Erickson, who died October 24, 2006.

Born in Little Canada, Ramsey Co., Minnesota, June 22, 1921. He was the son of Anton Erickson and Erdena Argraves Erickson.

Robert attended grade and high school in Spencer, Iowa. After he returned from World War 11 he received a B.S. degree in Industrial Arts from the Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

He was an Industrial Arts teacher in several school districts in Iowa, Wisconsin, & California. His last employment was with the Iowa Employment Commission in Fort Dodge, Iowa.

He enjoyed reading, hunting, golf and gardening.

Robert’s survivors include four brothers: Keith Erickson, wife Dorothy of Olathe, Kansas; Marvin Erickson, wife Hope of Spencer, Iowa; Roger Erickson of Patterson, California; Richard Erickson, wife Marie of Carmichael, California. Along with several generations of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be 10AM, Thursday, February 2, 2012 at Mount Vernon Memorial Park, 8201 Greenback Lane., Fair Oaks, CA.
