Robert was born in Great Bend, Kansas, graduated from Glasco, Kansas High School where he met Margaret Ann McCollough. They were married Dec. 24, 1939. He worked for Boeing Aircraft in Wichita, Kansas before joining the Navy in 1942. He served on the Aircraft Carrier USS Cabot in the Pacific during WWII. He was discharged in California where he worked as a cement mason, mostly in the Sacramento Area for Gannon and Brophy, then Teichert until his retirement. They moved to Shingle Springs, then Phoenix, and finally back to Rocklin.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Margaret Ann in January of 2011. He is survived by his daughters Judy Adrian (Bill), Karen Rose (Steve), Teri Radabaugh (Dennis), five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be 11am Wednesday, August 17 at Mount Vernon memorial Park, 8201 Greenback Lane, Fair Oaks, California with a reception to follow at Whitney Oaks – The Gables, 2801 Springfield Dr, Rocklin.
