Robin Ann Campaña Sievers, a native Californian and Roseville resident, passed away on Friday, July 9, at home surrounded by family and friends after a long battle with breast cancer. Robin was a beautiful soul who was raised in Redwood City, where she graduated from Woodside High School and Cañada College.
Born in San Francisco on December 12, 1958, to Carol Campaña Seifert and Robert Campaña, Robin was crowned Miss Wading Beauty of Redwood City 1961. She was a gifted athlete, a talented interior designer, and above all, a dedicated and loving mother of two children. Robin had a heart of gold and loved teaching art and PE for children as a volunteer at Heritage Oak Elementary School. Since 2002, she worked in the facilities group at the California State Assembly, where her colleagues were always there to support her and her children.
Early in life, Robin enjoyed playing softball, running track, camping, and water skiing. As an adult, she spent many years hanging out at the beach and snow skiing at Lake Tahoe with her precious children. She loved to be anywhere that had a beach - Tahoe, Hawaii, or the Pacific coast. Robin found inner strength and solace by watching the waves, listening to the surf and soaking up the sun. Closer to home, she loved shopping with her kids, caring for her garden, and eating tapioca pudding, her mom’s potato salad and Italian turkey sausages.
Robin is survived by her two children, Nicholas, 15, and Noel, 13; mother, Carol Campaña Seifert; step-father, Hugh Seifert; grandmother, Gertrude Holderman; brothers Kirk Campaña, Chris Campaña, and Erich Campaña; sister, Marina Campaña; sisters-in-law, Trish Campaña and Gitte Campaña; J4 cousins - Jeff, June, Julianna and James Rovegno; adorable nieces, Clare, Sophie, and Kiera; nephew, Lucas; many relatives and friends; and her loyal dog, Buck, who was always by her side providing comfort and free kisses.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 17 at 10:00 am at Mt. Vernon Funeral Home, 8201 Greenback Lane, Fair Oaks, CA 95628. Visitation on Friday evening, July 16 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm.
