

Russell Solbeck a devoted family man and outdoor enthusiast passed away on December 20, 2024. He was 71 years old. He was born on December 30, 1952 to Richardt and Ada Solbeck. Russ grew up in Menlo Park and developed a deep love for the outdoors from an early age. This passion stayed with him throughout his life through his love for hunting and fishing. In his youth, he was a terrific bowler scoring a number of perfect games. All of his children followed in his footsteps enjoying league bowling. His son, Brian went on to outscore him in perfect games. Russ also participated in competitive trap shooting where he successfully earned titles.
He married the love of his life Linda and they were together for over 47 years. They were blessed with three beautiful children, Jon, Brian, and Kristen. Russ shared his love for the outdoors with his children teaching them how to hunt and fish and also sharing his passion for golf with his two sons while also sharing his love for animals with his daughter.
His greatest joy in life came from spending time with his three grandchildren, Quintin, Gianna, and Kaylee especially enjoying quality time outside together. He also loved playing chess with Quintin, watching movies with Gianna and having block wars with Kaylee. He was truly honored to be their Nono.
He leaves behind his wife Linda, his children Jon, Brian and Kristen, his daughter-in-law Rosa, son-in-law William, and his cherished grandchildren Quintin, Gianna, and Kaylee. He also leaves behind a sister Nancy Pagan and three nephews.
