Ruthie was born October 22, 1935 in Alhambra, California.

She was married 46 happy years to Jimmy D. Knoblock – (preceded in death, 2005)

She is also preceded in death by her son, David M. Knoblock (2008)

Ruthie is survived by her Children – Russell Knoblock and wife Pam, Kevin Knoblock and wife Sharon, Julia Wilbert and husband Tom and Cindy Gray. Grandchildren – Kimberly, Andy, Kyle, Jason, Justin, Katelyn, Kristie, Ryan, Ashleigh, Kaitlin, Alyssa and Alex. Great Grandchildren – Taylor, Jared, Madison, Jaxon, Allison, Samantha, Paul, Collan, Zachary, Hailey, Kalista, Cameron and Kyleigh.

Siblings – Lee Ballard and Susan Smith – Numerous Nieces and Nephews.

Ruthie accepted the Lord at the age of ten at a small church in Eagle Point, Oregon.

She never waivered from her commitment to serve the Lord.

She leaves a legacy of being a woman of faith, prayer, and a rock of hope to many through her writing, teaching, studying and sharing of the Word of God. Her life crossed many paths, which she held dear to her heart. She loved her children, grandchildren & great-grandchildren with all her heart. She prayed for each of them individually – every day. She was blessed with numerous friends who will miss her deeply. Ruthie wrote a book: “In the Grip of His Hand” and also received her Ministry credentials in 2012. She wrote many songs & poems inspired by her Love for the Lord. She will be deeply missed by many – yet we are all rejoicing in her “job well done”.

A CHILD REBORN

O Lord, I come to You today

With this simple prayer to say

Cause this child to be reborn in me

To laugh and love and play

When I hear the children laughing

And I see them playing free,

It makes me long to feel their joy

Bring to birth the child in me.

I know you want a childlike heart

To live in me again;

To have the joy and laughter, too

And to never be the same.

Thank you for Your Child-like heart

That the joy and laughter brings.

Thank You for the child reborn

Who within my hear now sings.
