Shirley Nethalee Cooper

Shirley went home peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on the morning of February 7, 2016. She was 54 years old. She was born in Sacramento on August 9, 1961 and spent most of her life, except 10 years living in San Jose, CA, in Sacramento. She was survived by her loving husband of 27 and a half years, David, and daughters Aja and Ashley and granddaughter Tawni. She was preceded in death by her mother Alma Armstrong and father Andrew Starks and by brothers Jerome and Steven . She was survived by sisters Denise (Derrick) and Debra (Tony), and by brothers Jackie (Lydia), Anthony, and Leon (Nisha). She spent most of her adult life working in the IT industry and more recently was a customer service representative for Balanced Body of Sacramento. She enjoyed cooking new recipes, reading and craft projects, was involved in various church ministries and the Gideons, and cared deeply for her entire family.
